At the September meeting of the Fairfax Alliance, Braver Angels State Coordinator Theo Brown will facilitate a Families & Politics Workshop. As with other Braver Angels workshops, it is designed to enhance our skills and strategies for engaging those with a different world view -- in constructive ways. Join us to learn how to recognize the common roles that family members play in those uniquely challenging political conversations that we have in our homes. Whether you have a Gladiator, Sniper or Defender at your next family get-together, this month's activity will help you preserve important family bonds while still being true to your values and political beliefs.
The workshop consists of two parts: Part 1 is an online interactive course that requires about 40 minutes of your time before the workshop. Here is the link to the online course. Part 2 is an in-person session, at the September meeting of the Fairfax Alliance, where we will practice listening and speaking skills.
There are no limits on the number of participants, but please try to sign-up so we have an idea how many plan to attend.
The meeting takes place on Tuesday, September 12th, at 6:30 for socializing and 7 PM for the workshop, at the Lewinsville Presbyterian Church in McLean.
